[Novel] Downbelow Station (C.J. Cherryh)

downbelow-station

Downbelow Station offers a fascinating glimpse at mankind’s future in space, but its narrative is so lifeless and gratuitously expositionary it is nearly impossible to care for the novel’s characters or plot.

Positive: Negative:
A thoroughly detailed, well-built futuristic setting Dull, lifeless prose
Dull, lifeless characters
Dull plot
